Welcome

Monkton is a community of nearly 1700 residents on the outskirts of Pembroke town.It is a mixture of traditional terraced houses and a post war housing estate .Monkton is an urban pocket in an area of open countryside. Residents can look across the 13th century Priory Church to Pembroke Castle, where Henry Tudor was born in 1457. It sits on the south bank of the Pembroke River.Next to the church is Monkton Old Hall, a Landmark Trust property. The perfect base to explore the cliffs and castles of Pembrokeshire.

Community Services

Monkton Voice represents Monkton on many local committees that impact the community.Such as Communities First and Pembrokeshire County Council.

Monkton voice has put together a tenant compact with Pembrokeshire County Council. This was done by consulting with the community during the Autumn/Winter of 2006. Because it is important that work carried out reflects the views of the community, the council spoke to residents to find out priorities.

Local History

We hope to maintain an ongoing visual and audio history of Monkton.
